We Schonbeks have been scholars of the interplay of light and crystal since we started making chandeliers in 1870 in Bohemia. We’ve drawn from this rich experience to create our crystal lamps.
We started out with a classic bent, but the sheer enjoyment of working with this fascinating form, the crystal table lamp, took us into uncharted territory.
We found ourselves designing shades with startling shapes, indulging in fanciful scrollwork, exploring crystal in unexpected colors.
Even our most unconventional lamp designs are, by the way, highly functional. Whatever their purpose (reading lamp, buffet lamp, accent lamp), they perform beautifully. Most have a built-in dimmer switch that makes them versatile beyond most lamps in the market.
